Erin Greenleaf, M.Ed., LMHC, LMFT
Erin’s passion and expertise in helping couples shift toward positive change is highly valued when so many people experience relational distress. In addition she has extensive knowledge on the theory base surrounding how to help those experiencing relational challenges, and has strong clinical experience counseling families. When it comes to the couple relationship and family interactions, it is important to work with a therapist who has a particular set of skills and understanding of the unique challenges of this very dynamic. In addition, this caring professional is skilled in her work with children of all ages, and adults who desire individual counseling. Clients experience Erin as very proactive in her approach where she skillfully identifies the problem area providing insight and developing tools to help toward concrete change. Whatever the presenting problem is, Erin assesses and intervenes with precision. This is a therapist who is genuine in her commitment and dedication to client care, providing a safe and supportive environment for the therapeutic process, client growth, and goal achievement.

Upon meeting Erin, clients immediately experience her genuine warmth and compassion. This treatment professional is passionate about her clinical work, directive, validates feelings, is empathetic and utilizes humor where appropriate. She brings a fresh look to each situation. The therapeutic treatment approaches Erin utilizes include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Counseling, Mindfulness, Psycho-social Education, Narrative Therapy, and Play Therapy. Erin tailor-makes her therapeutic approach based upon client’s areas of need, and actively keeps up to date on the best therapeutic practices and research evidence.
Erin holds two licenses as a counseling professional: she is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She is also certified CANS (Children and Adolescents Needs and Strengths). Prior to joining Dr. Karen Ruskin & Associates, Erin provided counseling at an out-patient community mental health care facility, of which she was the go-to therapist for all couples counseling cases referred to her directly. In addition, she also provided family counseling, and treatment for individuals including children of all ages and adults. She was considered a leader in the organization mentoring Master’s level clinicians providing peer supervision.
