Lauren Palmaccio is an Independently Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Mental Health Provider. Lauren’s passion and skills in her work with couples and those that are experiencing relationship challenges are in sync with the philosophy of this practice and shine through with each and every client.

Lauren provides couple, individual, and family therapy.

Lauren’s approach is to identify the clients’ therapeutic needs with compassion. She is genuinely interested in her clients’ thoughts and feelings. Her therapeutic methodology is to help her clients to identify their presenting problem, understand their thoughts and actions, and guide them towards awareness and concrete resolution. Lauren’s expertise is in utilizing cognitive behavior therapy and strength based treatment that helps propel clients to therapeutic goal achievement.

Lauren has been providing therapeutic services since 2004. She is a member of the Massachusetts Association of Mental Health Counselors. She holds a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is a recipient of National Honors in Psychology. Lauren’s history of providing counseling services includes therapy for those in distress, crisis, and in need of supportive understanding and concrete direction. Prior to joining Dr. Karen Ruskin & Associates, Lauren was the Clinical Director of a treatment facility in Massachusetts. In addition, she has had added training in and holds a certificate in the treatment of trauma and in the treatment of sexual assault.
