AAMFT’s Leadership Symposium – Keynote Speaker Dr Karen Ruskin

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist and clinical member of the American Association For Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). When the highest level of association for your professional industry asks if you would be their keynote speaker to start off the morning, for a leadership symposium that will house fellow Marriage and Family Therapists, the best word I can use to describe how I feel is: pumped! Here it is in a nutshell. To do what you love everyday for your work is a gift. To learn as the years go by that your instinctive drive, passion, hard work and consistent commitment to touching the lives of others in a positive way has resulted in personal career growth and the advancement of the profession/industry you are in, is an amazing discovery. To experience that one’s professional choices are noticed, and that you are truly making a difference – is an incredible feeling.

The AAMFT  is holding it’s Leadership Symposium March 19th-21st in Arlington, Virginia. To be considered a leader in the industry of Marriage and Family Therapy, and to be speaking to leaders and future leaders in this wonderful industry (invited attendees are leaders and future leaders), is an event I look forward to. I invite you to learn more about this upcoming conference: AAMFT’s Leadership Symposium.
